For some reason, since my computer decided to reinstall windows 10, it won't let me start threads in mental health section, its really not liking the prefix things, it says I have to select one but when I click to make the list come up its not showing anything?

Can you please post a screen shot of the issue you are having by any chance?

i'm not clever enough for screenshots, but when you click on the dropdown prefix thing, it literally lists nothing in that list, idk whats got into windows 10 laptop ....

Press the print screen button on your keyboard and paste the contents in a private message to me, if you can. I’ll take a look at what could be causing it. What browser are you using?

This is what you should see:

I'm also a little concerned when you say WIndows 10 decided to reinstall itself; the operating system should not be able to do that on its own and should require some user intervention. Have you got some decent Anti-Virus on your laptop? If so, make sure it's up-to-date and run a full scan, if the results come back negative then there's one more step to try, but we'll cross that bridge when it comes along. Make sure that your browser is up-to-date and check that you have no pop-up blockers or ad blockers installed in your browser as extensions.

it did ask me to reinstall it cause it kept saying there was something wrong with the windows 10 installation (exactly what was wrong i dont know, i dont speak computer nvfhibn whatever language the computer even speaks)

i'll try get a screenshot, for some reason when i try making a thread the dropdown thing is just a white box

weird, as soon as it knew i was trying to screenshot the white box, it decided to behave and show the list ??????

my computer is being a pain in the arse

OK, this may be a little technical but do this.

Open a command Prompt as an administrator, you will find the command prompt by searching for it - use the search box on your taskbar next to the windows menu icon; it should come up like this:

Right mouse click on it and select run as administrator:

A black box will appear on your desktop with a flashing prompt. Left click your mouse next to the prompt and type this (you can copy and paste it if you wish):

sfc/ scannow
(note, there is a space between the / and scannow)

press return or enter on your keyboard and wait for the command to finish. This is called the System File Checker (SFC) and checks that all your system files are intact; if it finds any errors it will correct them. It could take a while for it to run, but be patient.

Come back and tell us if it finds any errors :)
