Panic Attacks What do you do when you feel one coming on?

I spent many years trying to fight them when they would happen only to learn it made them worse. I started forcing myself to be more accepting of them and it takes away the power behind them. They don't last as long now and I feel like I can cope with the energy drain afterward a lot better. I used to need to lay down for a few hours and sleep after having one. Now I seldom do.

What do you do when you feel one coming on? Do you have a strategy that helps lessen the panic?

I usually will take a sleeping pill, an anxiety pill, and start to think about positive things that make you happy. Imagine that you are in control of everything and everyone in the world and how it would be such a peaceful place to be. 😉
