My knees have been a constant problem for as long as I can remember. They aren’t like most people’s knees. The kneecaps don’t have a natural resting point because the bone groove that should guide and hold them in place simply isn’t there. Without that groove, my kneecaps shift and slip around, putting constant strain on my ligaments — ligaments that are already damaged.
That combination means pain is part of my everyday life. It’s not the kind of pain that comes and goes after an injury...
