• Hi there, and welcome to Trapped Minds!

We are a mental health community that focuses on engagement and discussion. We are a friendly, welcoming and inclusive community open to all who wish to engage in discussion about mental health, whether as someone who suffers, someone who supports a sufferer, or someone who is simply curious. All are welcome here.

Please join us, engage with us, and learn with us. We're here for you.

Note: Trapped Minds is a community of volunteers. Our community is not to be used as a replacement for actual therapy or medical help. We offer experience as sufferers, but cannot be regarded beyond that. If you are struggling, please reach out for help.

Have you seen….the Content Feed?

For this “Have You Seen…” spotlight, let’s dive into something you might scroll past without realising how powerful it is — the Content Feed 📜

The Content Feed is like your personal homepage for Trapped Minds. Instead of hopping between forums and menus, it pulls everything together into one flowing stream. You’ll see:

  • 🧵 New threads and posts as they happen
  • 📝 Mood updates from other members
  • 🤗 Hugs and reactions
  • 🔗 Shares and featured content
It means you can keep up with the community in real-time, without missing out on what matters.

Better still, you can filter the feed to fit how you use the forum:

  • Only show threads you follow
  • Hide things you’ve already read
  • Focus on certain types of content (like moods or shares)
  • Or just leave it wide open for a full overview
👉 You’ll find the Content Feed in the navigation menu on the left (or in the off-canvas menu on mobile).

Give it a scroll today and see what you discover. You might be surprised how much is happening that doesn’t always show up in the forum list.

Do you use the Content Feed every day — or will this be your first time checking it out?

Have you seen… how to report content that isn’t appropriate?

Our community is built on respect and care, but sometimes posts, replies, or private messages might not feel right. If you ever come across content that breaks our guidelines—or just makes you uncomfortable—you can let us know quickly by using the Report feature.

Here’s how:
  1. Look for the “Report” link – you’ll find it at the bottom of every post, profile post, or private message.
  2. Click “Report” – a small form will open where you can explain why you’re reporting.
  3. Submit your report – this instantly alerts the moderation team, who will review it as soon as possible.
💡 Reports are private. Only staff see them, and we’ll handle things discreetly.

By reporting, you’re helping keep Trapped Minds safe and supportive for everyone. Please don’t ever feel like you’re “causing trouble”—using the report feature is one of the best ways you can protect our space.

Want to see just the posts that matter most to you? The Content Filters panel makes it easy. You can pick exactly what shows up in your feed:

🔎 Content – Choose whether you want to see Threads, Replies, Profile Posts, Mood Logs, or Shares. (Select all if you like to see everything!)
💬 Discussion Types – Looking only for Questions, Suggestions, or Articles? You can filter by type to get the exact style of content you want.
📂 Topics – Narrow things down to just the forums you care about—like Mental Health Discussions, Announcements, or Anxiety & Panic Attacks.
👤 Posted By – Searching for posts from a specific member? Just pop their name in and you’ll get a personalised feed.

With these filters, your feed becomes your feed. Whether you’re in the mood for deep reads, light chats, or just moods—you can set it up in seconds.
