Sleep Apnea and Poor Mask Fitting

So lately I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night choking with my CPAP on. Full face mask. Thought it was just my nose being blocked but it’s more than that. The mask moves while I’m asleep and ends up covering my nostrils more. Once that happens it feels like I can’t breathe right.

It’s a horrible way to wake up. Sometimes I yank the mask off without even thinking about it. Then I’m sat there wide awake trying to calm down.

Feels like maybe the fit’s wrong, or the straps aren’t right for how I sleep. Could be the pressure too, because breathing out feels harder when I’m half-asleep.

Anyone else had this? What worked for you? Different mask? Adjusting straps?

YES!!! Been dealing with this for so long. I've tried every mask type, mask tape, different pressures, special headwear...none of it works. Either I subconsciously rip it off or I wake up choking. It's horrible. My sleep specialist has been struggling to find the right solution for me so far, we're still working on it.
